Two Roads Hospitality has assumed management of L’Auberge de Sedona and Orchards Inn, which are now part of the Denver-based company’s Destination Hotels collection, which features more than 40 properties. L’Auberge de Sedona features 4,480 square feet of event space in addition to several outdoor venues, 62 luxury cottages, 21 traditional lodgestyle guest rooms and the five-bedroom Creekhouse. Many of the guest rooms feature new furniture and design elements. Additional highlights are two renovated creekside culinary concepts, Cress on Oak Street and Etch Kitchen + Bar, and an artist-in-residence program in collaboration with Sedona-based Goldenstein Gallery.

The neighboring Orchards Inn is a family-friendly property with guest rooms featuring in-room gas fireplaces, kitchenettes and balconies with panoramic views of the Sedona Red Rocks and Snoopy Rock. Groups can use the on-site restaurant for gatherings as well as the space at L’Auberge de Sedona.

Who says you can’t have a meeting without some pampering mixed in? Several hot springs resorts in the U.S. Mountain West can accommodate smaller meetings complete with lodging, function space, din- ing and soaking. Some even have on-site spas and other standout features like an ice museum or microbrewery to include on an itinerary.

Erase any vision you might have of a dude ranch, especially the “City Slicker” version. For the purposes of this story, let’s use the name ranch resort and picture a big dose of vision and thousands of acres for both herds and people to roam. It’s a fairly different option, but one with similar friendliness and the Western spirit of a dude ranch.

To say Wisconsin is having a moment would be an understatement. A statewide renaissance resulting in plenty of new developments, impressive renovations and entrepreneurial ventures has been years in the making and shows no sign of slowing anytime soon.
