Marquee Sports & Entertainment Host Media Tour

Marquee Sports & Entertainment hosted a tour of the American Airlines Conference Center for the media on July 13. The tour showcased the conference center's amenities and customizable event spaces and featured a food sampling following the tour.

The American Airlines Conference Center is 5,300 square feet and is ideal for private meetings, networking events and receptions. There are four flexible event spaces and an outdoor terrace overlooking the Park at Wrigley.

Twin Warriors Golf Club Offers Culturally Immersive Experience for Groups

Nationally ranked Twin Warriors Golf Club at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa on the Santa Ana Pueblo offers a high desert golf experience for groups immersed in the culture of the Native American Tamayame tribe, amidst 20 of their ancient cultural sites. The golf club near Albuquerque hosted the 2003 and 2009 PGA Professional National Championships, and now features 18 holes of championship golf, along with a driving range, a practice putting green, two short practice game areas, and a private teaching and learning center.

Wyndham Rewards Unites with Caesars Entertainment's Total Rewards

On June 5, Wyndham Rewards revealed a new loyalty partnership with Caesars Entertainment and its Total Rewards program. Convening Leaders Flocked to Austin

Earlier this month, The Professional Convention Management Association hosted their 2017 Convening Leaders Conference in Austin, Jan. 9–11.  

“We are thrilled to host convening leaders for the first time in Austin,” says Tom Noonan, president and CEO , Austin CVB. “Austin has become a premier destination for meeting, conventions and leisure business and we are confident that we will see return business from the PCMA attendees.”

The conference attracted about 4,500 attendees and is estimated to bring in around $11 million in economic return.

MGM National Harbor Makes Historic Debut

Early last December, the MGM National Harbor opened in Washington, D.C., with views of the capital’s monuments, and a number of luxurious amenities to provide an unforgettable experience for their guests.

The opening night was a star-studded event with thousands of guest’s (5,000 to be specific) . In attendance were guests like Sarah Jessica Parker, 21 contestants from Miss World 2016, reigning Miss World Mireia Lalaguna, a number of artists from the property’s Heritage Collection and many more.

The National Association for Catering and Events, with more than 4,000 members, is the largest and oldest association in the industry. Recently, they conducted a survey in which industry noted there will be an increase in holiday business compared to previous years.

AEG and PRISA Group to Build New Venue in Puerto Rico

AEG and PRISA Group have partnered with AEG Facilities to develop, manage and operate a new 6,000-seat concert and entertainment venue in San Jose, Puerto Rico; it is set to open in early 2019.

The 105,000-square foot facility will have the capacity to host a variety of functions, including events, concerts, banquets, festivals, award ceremonies and corporate events.
