The Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel celebrated its grand opening in September. The hotel includes 15 floors, 288 rooms, 16 suites, 19 meeting rooms and 30,000 square feet of ballroom and event space. Located next door to the newly developed Toyota Motors North America headquarters and the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters, the hotel features a provocative and diverse collection of art that underscores its inventive West of Zen design theme. Through the hotel’s design, hotel owner and developer Sam Moon Group of the handbag and accessories empire, sought to honor the company’s Korean roots. The theme also extends a welcome to international guests traveling on business to the multinational corporations headquartered within the Legacy West corridor, and incorporates north Texas influences.

Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International – Southern Colorado Chapter held its annual summer fundraiser on July 17 at Colorado Springs Marriott. A beach party theme kept things lively, and members were encouraged to “flamingle” and bring guests of all ages. Funds raised benefitted CASA of the Pikes Peak Region.

Members of the National Association of Catering & Events Greater Denver Chapter pulled out the gym gear and dusted off their Nikes to take the field. The Denver Broncos’ UCHealth Training Center, a professional-grade facility, served as the backdrop for all sorts of fun and games.
