The industry came together at The Foundry by Herban Feast on Oct. 19, 2017, for our Best of 2017 readers’ choice awards. In addition to great music and food, beer tastings, and candid photo booth snapshots, Northwest Meetings + Events raised approximately $900 for the SEARCH Foundation through a silent auction. The evening was capped off with our awards ceremony presided over by emcee Ron Hippe. Special thanks to event sponsors Butler Seattle, Ketchikan Visitors Bureau and Tulalip Resort Casino for their support, as well as event partners 321 Foto, Alan Alabastro Photography, Blue Danube Productions, CORT Party Rental, Dianne’s Delights, Fena Flowers, Fred Northrup Jr. Fundraising Auctioneer, Herban Feast, Pyramid Brewing Co., Wave Link Music Inc. and Wilridge Winery.

The New York and New Jersey chapters of the National Association for Catering & Events (NACE), along with the Banquet Event Strategic Task Force (BEST Task Force), held an in-person gathering in August, their first since the start of the pandemic.

The Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE) hosted its first inperson event since the pandemic began at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall. MSAE’s goal was to host a fun networking opportunity that followed COVID guidelines, and helped members gain confidence attending in-person events again.
