Metro Detroit industry professionals came together March 30 at Silver Gardens Events Center for the annual EPIC Awards, presented by the Michigan chapters of ABC, NACE and ILEA. Sponsors included E3 Detroit, Blumz by JRDesigns, Floral and Event Professionals, Country Lane Flowers, Colonial Events, Fred Ferris Photography, Emerald City Designs, Fabulous Events, Inc., TapSnap Detroit, Lyndsey’s Linen & Chair Covers, Silver Garden Events Center and Lepenn Designs - Couture Invitations & Stationery.

For its September 2019 meeting, the National Association for Catering and Events (NACE) Philadelphia Chapter—which serves industry professionals in the Greater Philadelphia, South Jersey and Delaware region—thought it would try something different. Instead of focusing on the visual presentation of food, organizers took away the sense of sight entirely, outfitting diners with a blindfold at dinner.

Lansing isn't just the capital of Michigan, but it’s also the central hub for the entire state—literally; it’s located within 90 minutes of 90 percent of the state’s population, making it both eventful and accessible for groups located throughout the state.
