Meet AC and Caesars Entertainment hosted an event for around 150 attendees at the Atlantic City Convention Center as part of the second annual Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID). The event highlighted the importance of face-to-face meetings with an industry panel of speakers. Following the panel, attendees enjoyed lunch and a series of educational sessions focusing on corporate social responsibility, tech security and more.

The Meetings Mean Business Coalition has announced “Meetings Matter” as the 2023 theme for Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) to be held on March 30. The international day of advocacy showcases the economic and societal importance of face-to-face business meetings, trade shows, incentive travel, exhibitions, conferences, and conventions.

The hospitality and meetings and events industries are known for their generosity. Even after a couple of tough years courtesy of the COVID-19 pandemic, helping others has remained a priority. Here are a few examples from around the country.
