EXPANSION PROJECT WRAPS UP AT STEIN ERIKSEN LODGE

Stein Eriksen Lodge Deer Valley in Park City will complete improvements including a new outdoor plaza space with fire pits and heated walk paths, as well as a 3,500-square-foot entertainment center featuring a variety of games, activities and casual food options in September. Also included in the project are a theater room to watch visual presentations or cinema movies; a family pool and expanded lounging area; and a coffee bar. Stein Eriksen Lodge is located midmountain at Deer Valley Resort.

WESTGATE PARK CITY RESORT & SPA ADDS SPACES AND AMENITIES

A recently completed, multimillion-dollar renovation project at Westgate Park City Resort & Spa has resulted in a brand new outdoor event deck, coffee bar, banquet kitchen, executive boardroom and upgraded meeting space. The executive boardroom accommodates up to 20 and features stone accent walls, wood ceilings and cutting-edge technology, while the event deck holds up to 250 and offers fresh-off-thegrill menu options for groups and special events during summer months. Behind the scenes, a new modern banquet kitchen allows the resort to quickly and efficiently serve groups of more than 200. Westgate Park City Resort & Spa now offers more than 8,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.

EXPLORE PARK CITY WITH MINES & WINE

Fox School of Wine has introduced Mines & Wines in Park City, a three-hour tour that includes historic locations around Park City that are paired with wines. The excursion begins at Montage Deer Valley or Park City Museum where participants can enjoy a vintage sparkling wine made for the king and queen of Spain before climbing aboard a luxury vehicle for stops at the Ontario Mine, Miner’s Hospital, First National Bank on Main Street and the Red Light District. Light, paired snacks are included on the vehicle and costume props are provided. The tour is offered every Friday from mid-June to end of August and Saturday afternoons in the summer and winter. It’s also available for private bookings for groups of six or more.

Z BAR, the globally inspired cocktail lounge atop The Peninsula overlooking Michigan Avenue, offers customized batch cocktails for groups in an upscale, but relaxed atmosphere. The individual responsible for dreaming up and preparing these communal beverages is Vlad Novikov, who’s official title is director of cocktails and culture. Novikov’s travels frequently inform his mixology.

This summer, Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite is debuting $25 million in expansions. The new Explorer Cabins at Tenaya Lodge features a central gathering building, communal outdoor fire pits and more than 50 two-bedroom cabins. Also, the lodge recently introduced new Glacier Point at Sunset Tours that run from May through September and combine the expert knowledge of a local guide with the beauty of Yosemite National Park. Groups can enjoy wine, cheese and crackers or their own picnic dinner while enjoying the alpenglow.
