San Antonio landed the top spot on Meetings and Conventions magazine’s Top 20 Meeting Cities in 2016 list.

The city has many venues for meeting planners. Hotel Contessa, a AAA Four Diamond hotel, has partnered with The Briscoe Western Art Museum to build a unique Texan experience for their guests.

Planet Hollywood Observatory Opens its Doors

Offering meeting and event planners event space for any number of attendees, Planet Hollywood Observatory in Disney Springs, Fla., is opening this fall to host any unique event you need. Located in the heart of Disney Springs, the venue is four stories of meeting space that includes five different event spaces with Stargaze bar, expansive main floor and two patio spaces. Planet Hollywood also offers a 4,500-square-foot video wall that can be used for corporate purposes, up-to-date furnishings such as planet-shaped light fixtures and an interactive DJ for night events.

Westin Nashville Announces New Hires

The Westin Nashville recently announced the appointments of Don Holowiecki as director of finance; Adam Smith as executive meetings manager of sales; Leisa Recabo as social catering manager; and Michael Pisano as conference service manager. Holowiecki will be in charge of the hotel’s efforts to maintain financial stability, helping the Westin Nashville to remain Nashville’s hottest new hotel. Smith will lead the sales team, and Recabo will focus on marketing the Westin Nashville’s top-of-the-line catering services.
