• Fairway One at The Lodge Officially Opens

There's something new to enjoy at Pebble Beach Resort this fall – the famous golf resort has opened Fairway One at The Lodge, a complex with 38 brand-new guest rooms and two stand-alone cottages as well as new meeting space that overlooks the first fairway of Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Fairway One sits along the left side of the first fairway and encompasses three buildings with 10 guest rooms each, two four-bedroom golf cottages and the Fairway One Meeting Facility which includes a 2,500 square foot meeting room.

“We are proud to be sharing Fairway One with you,” sai Bill Perocchi, CEO of Pebble Beach Company, during his grand opening remarks. “Our ultimate goal is to continue to improve Pebble Beach so that it remains a special place for this community and for all of our guests for generations to come.”

Pebble Beach will host the 2018 U.S. Amateur and 2019 U.S. Open championships and its own 100th anniversary in 2019. The opening of Fairway One at the Lodge is just one of many new features of the resort over the next year. Each of the 98 guest rooms has been updated, with ocean-front rooms getting more windows. Ocean-front patios and decks are being expanded and building exteriors have received a new wood, stone and stucco look. Technology updates include 55-inch televisions in each room, new lighting and energy management.

Results from the Incentive Research Foundation’s (IRF) 2022 Incentive Travel Destination Preferences & Their Impact on Motivation confirmed that interest in incentive travel as a motivating sales reward is at an all-time high. 91% of 405 survey respondents described group incentive travel as extremely or very motivating compared to 80% last year. Individual incentive travel was rated even higher as a motivational award at 96% versus 84% last year.
