Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center on Lake Grapevine will open its $120 million expansion on May 1, 2018.

Named the “Vineyard Tower,” the expansion adds 303 guestrooms to its current 1,511 and 86,000 square feet of meeting space to the existing property - making it the third largest, non-gaming convention/ meetings hotel in the United States.

The project was completed by property owners Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc.

“This expansion illustrates Ryman Hospitality Properties’ confidence in group business demand within our brand,” said Gaylord Senior Vice President Mike Stengel. “In addition to enhancing our Grapevine destination, the expansion has provided 450 construction jobs and several hundred permanent jobs for the local community.”

The Vineyard Tower has accommodations like a main driveway, two outdoor garden terraces, over 30,000 square feet of meeting space distributed across the first two floors, and the 30,000-square-foot Tate Ballroom.
