• GLCVB Website Wins MSAE Diamond Award

The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau received the Diamond Award from the Michigan Society of Association Executives at the 15th Annual Awards Banquet held in Plymouth.

for the CVB won Best Website for an organization with an annual operating budget at or above $1 million. The GLCVB competed with close to 60 other entries for the award.

“We at the Greater Lansing CVB are extremely proud of the success of our newly redeveloped and mobile-friendly website,” says Jack Schripsema, president and CEO, GLCVB. “To receive this honor from our partners at MSAE, in front of our peers within the meetings industry, is a true honor.”

The MSAE has more than 1,000 members and 400 international, national, state, regional and local branches. It provides members with networking opportunities, a platform to exchange ideas and other benefits. 

After 7 years of planning, the VanDyk Mortgage Convention Center is now open in downtown Muskegon. The official ribbon cutting took place on April 12, 2021.  

 

The Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE) hosted its first inperson event since the pandemic began at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall. MSAE’s goal was to host a fun networking opportunity that followed COVID guidelines, and helped members gain confidence attending in-person events again.

 

On September 1, over 1,500 businesses across the country illuminated their buildings with red lights to draw attention to the devastation that the live events and performance art industries have faced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
