    POSTED November 20, 2016

Hilton Portland is set to undergo a huge transformation that is scheduled to be complete in spring 2017. Renovations will include updates to the guest rooms and lobby, a new restaurant and bar, and meeting space.

The 782-room hotel, located in the heart of downtown Portland, is in the early stages of its renovation. They will first update their existing 60,000 square feet of meeting space, and relocating the fitness room. They've also added a 5,500-square-foot ballroom and additional breakout space.

Phase two of renovation includes a redesign of the lobby. Updates will consist of a new front desk, new seating area and a renovated gastropub. The lobby’s design will feature elements of Portland’s natural, unique materials, with inspiration from the ‘60s. The Executive Tower building of Hilton Portland will also go through a renovation. The building will become a boutique lifestyle hotel concept and be renamed.

“We are excited to begin the process of redesign and look forward to the finalization of the hotel’s new concept, which will enhance the comfort level of both leisure and business guests,” says Eric Walters, general manager. “We will fill the needs for large groups and conventions by incorporating additional meeting space into Hilton Portland and continuing to reflect the unique essence of the city of Portland within our walls.”
