• Hyatt Place Washington D.C. Goes Toy Shopping for Guests

The Hyatt Place Washington D.C./U.S. Capitol is continuing their annual tradition of serving as a Toys for Tots drop-off site. This year, they are offering to go toy shopping for their guests and locals who wish to give, but don’t have the time to shop.

Guests can also give funds to the cause by having a donation added to their account upon check-in. The hotel will accept toys between now and Dec. 7.

“We understand that our guests are busy but still want to give to help kids in our community so we are going toy shopping for them,” says Ryan Cimei, hotel general manager. “Our guests are so kind and giving. Last year we collected over three large bins of toys, as many as a hotel triple our size would traditional collect.”

Results from the Incentive Research Foundation’s (IRF) 2022 Incentive Travel Destination Preferences & Their Impact on Motivation confirmed that interest in incentive travel as a motivating sales reward is at an all-time high. 91% of 405 survey respondents described group incentive travel as extremely or very motivating compared to 80% last year. Individual incentive travel was rated even higher as a motivational award at 96% versus 84% last year.
