The International Live Event Association – Denver Chapter hosted its 12th annual Designer Showcase on Feb. 21 at Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel in Lone Tree. The event highlighted collaborative efforts of members and other event colleagues in the form of four trendsetting vignettes, each illustrating a city where an ILEA chapter is located.
Jingle Jam was held on Jan. 25 at the Philadelphia Downtown Marriott. The event was co-hosted by ILEA and HSMAI and was themed with 1920s “Great Gatsby” flair. Attendees dressed in their flapper best to relive the Roaring Twenties while networking with new friends and reconnecting with old ones.
The Special Events Company of Raleigh, N.C., has earned a Trinity Award and was nominated for an Esprit Award based on its work with Teen Cancer America's "North Carolina Cares" fundraiser.
Metro Detroit industry professionals came together March 30 at Silver Gardens Events Center for the annual EPIC Awards, presented by the Michigan chapters of ABC, NACE and ILEA. The International Live Events Association announced recognition of the following event professionals who recently earned the Certified Special Events Professional designation.
ILEA endorses and manages the voluntary CSEP program for those who meet standards. Earning the CSEP designation demonstrates a continuous dedication to enhance individual and professional performance.
The International Live Events Association is partnering with ibtm events as part of Reed Travel Exhibitions.
ibtm is now a part of the exclusive group of organizations within ILEA’s Global Partners program. Including Giants Enterpries, CORT and VisitScotland Business Events. ibtm will be exposed to ILEA’s 5,000 international members.
This collaboration will allow ILEA to continue its global expansion and offers up a portfolio of events such as the annual tradeshow in Barcelona.
The International Live Events Association announced the six event professionals who have earned the Certified Special Events Professional certification in July 2016.
The recipients are: Katie Coleman, CSEP, Micayla Diener, CSEP, Daniela Grafman, CSEP, John Jossifakis, CSEP, Erin Kneesel, CSEP and Katie Krause, CSEP.

ILEA will assist these companies in the next year through collaborative projects and by exposing them to the global events industry. ILEA’s Global Partner Program also allows their partners to connect with the 5,000 international ILEA members.
Richard Aaron, CSEP Emeritus, MFA, and member of the International Live Events AssociationI will be inducted into the Convention Industry Council Hall of Leaders at IMEX America, Oct. 18–20, in Las Vegas.
