The dual-branded Canopy by Hilton Chicago Central Loop and Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Central Loop—physically two properties but operated by one sales team and marketed as a complex—named Julie Byrne as the new complex director of sales in early March. In this role, she will work to develop and implement strategic sales and business travel initiatives and foster relationships with corporate clients and partners.
“The role entails hard work and dedication in supporting and managing sales for the dual-branded property,” says Byrne. “I’m looking forward to reintroducing myself back into the city market!” She comes to the role from previous positions at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago–Oak Brook team as support sales manager and then director of sales. “I have been enjoying and love the energy at the hotel and the hardworking team in place that is passionate about promoting and selling Canopy and Hilton Garden Inn.”
The Canopy by Hilton Chicago Central Loop features 215 guest rooms and two on-site culinary destinations, Depot and Seville Rooftop. For planners, the hotel offers 675 square feet of function space and access to complimentary Canopy bikes to give attendees a chance to explore the surrounding area on wheels. The Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Central Loop provides 115 guest rooms for overnight stays and access to the two restaurants at the Canopy property, alongside an additional 624 square feet of event space for groups.
Nearby, eventgoers have access to city attractions including the Willis Tower and its Skydeck, Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Chicago Theatre District, and more.
