The Langham Chicago will celebrate its rich British heritage and the fourth season of Downton Abbey with special events and hotel packages all themed around the popular PBS television show. The hotel is offering the “What is a Weekend” package and Downton Abbey Cinema Suite Nights.

The “What is a Weekend” package, named for the line uttered by the Dowager Countess of Grantham, features a one-night stay at The Langham, Chicago complete with access for two to the Club Lounge where the hotel offers Butler service and all-day refreshments including morning breakfast, a butler-drawn bath, welcome champagne, and a pot of tea with scones, jam and cream. The stay also includes room service, pool access, and late checkout.

The Downton Abbey Cinema Suite Nights allow for a private screening room that seats 12, where guests can catch up on all three seasons of Downton Abbey or just meet for season four. When renting out the Langham’s Cinema Suite, the package includes a one-night accommodation for the host, a champagne afternoon tea break for the guests served in the Cinema Suite and a Downton Abbey welcome amenity.

The Langham, Chicago will also offer a Downton Abbey afternoon tea served by white-gloved waiters trained by Charles MacPherson, author of The Butler Speaks. MacPherson will be featured as the author’s tea held in The Langham, Chicago’s Pavilion Lounge on Friday, Jan. 3. The hotel will also feature a selection of gifts direct from Highclere Castle where the show is filmed.
