The Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association (IHLA) recently presented the general manger of the Palmer House Hilton, Dean Lane, with the Hotelier of the Year award for the state of Illinois. Lane won the regional Hotelier of the Year award for Chicago in October, which qualified him to compete for the state title.
The IHLA represents over 450 hotels across Illinois, making this award highly selective and prestigious. The criteria for this award includes traits such as professionalism and service to the property, employees, guests and community. The award recognizes effective leadership from those that demonstrate a passion for streamlined service while conducting themselves with respect and integrity.
“This award speaks to the dedication and passion I have for the Palmer House and our staff and guests,” Lane said. “I am both humbled and inspired by this accomplishment and want to congratulate all of the other nominees on their impressive work this year.”
Lane will represent Illinois at the national finals on April 1, 2014 at the JW Marriott in Washington D.C.
