VerAfied assessment is based on industry standards including MITRE’s Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) for classification of software weaknesses, FIRST’s Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) for severity and ease of exploitability and NIST’s definitions of assurance levels. According to the world’s leading information technology research and advisory company, Gartner, “CVSS provides an industry recognized vulnerability risk ranking that is both repeatable and refereanceable and is commonly used by large and small organizations alike when disclosing vulnerabilities.”
