Marcus Hotels to Convert Four Points by Sheraton into AC Hotel by Marriott in Chicago

Marcus Hotels & Resorts announced their plans to convert its Four Points by Sheraton Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile hotel into an AC Hotel by Marriott. Chicago will see one of the first AC Hotels, a brand of stylish and cosmopolitan hotels by Marriott, in the United Statess. The hotel is set to open in the spring of 2015.

“We are excited to bring one of the first AC Hotels by Marriott into the U.S. to Chicago’s River North area,” said Thomas F. Kissinger, interim president, Marcus Hotels & Resorts and senior executive president, The Marcus Corporation. “This stylish, urban lifestyle brand brings together a contemporary and elegant look with the latest amenities and technology for the savvy traveler.”

AC Hotels by Marriott are inspired by the fashion houses of Spain and the runways of Italy, aiming to bring together travelers searching for a hotel with design in mind and in a great location. The new hotel will feature 226 rooms with functional work spaces, 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space, an AC lounge with a bar, the AC library, AC Fitness and AC breakfast, and free Wi-Fi. Other amenities include local museum-quality artifacts and multimedia areas in public spaces.
