Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed Michael Platt as general manager for Hotel Arista, a Personal Luxury Resorts & Hotels property located in Naperville, Ill. Greg Champion, Benchmark’s executive vice president and COO, made the announcement.
“It is a pleasure to welcome Michael to Benchmark Hospitality and to this jewel of a property,” says Champion. “He brings important experience in luxury hotel management to his new role, and a keen grasp of the unique qualities of boutique hotels.”
Previously, Michael Platt was general manager for the Viceroy Santa Monica Hotel, a boutique property located in Los Angeles. Prior to this he held leadership positions for Hilton Hotels at properties in New York City, Puerto Rico and Southern California.
Platt is a graduate of Lausanne in Switzerland and more recently graduated from the GMP program at Cornell University. He has relocated to the Chicagoland area.
