New “Lincoln: History to Hollywood” Exhibit Open for Group Tours

By M+E Staff

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum complex, in downtown Springfield, has opened an exhibition of sets, costumes, and props from Steven Spielberg’s Academy Award-winning film Lincoln called “Lincoln: History to Hollywood.”

The exhibit includes many items of note such as the furniture pieces and iconic props seen in the film. Most of the pieces are antiques from the Civil War era, not reproductions. The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum houses more than 40,000 square feet of galleries, theatres, and historic displays that take visitors on a journey from Lincoln’s humble beginnings to the end of his Presidency.

The presidential museum complex in Springfield is a popular off-site venue for evening receptions and dinners. Meeting planners can take advantage of this new permanent exhibit in Springfield by scheduling group tours.
