The new flooring in the 33,000-square-foot Exposition Center at the Mega Center, along with new lighting and a heating and air conditioning system, are the most recent improvements in a series of property updates.
The Exposition Center’s new floor was made using 100 percent solid water-based products. Additionally, the non-slip surface material is made from recycled crushed glass. Another environmental consideration is the longevity of the floor. After 10 or more years, the floor will simply need to be re-sanded and re-coated, not ripped out and replaced.
“Our goal is to revitalize this entire property, and this most recent investment by the Hostmark Hospitality Group takes us even closer towards bringing this iconic property and exposition center back to its premier status,” says Charlie Shirk, general manager.
The Mega Center can hold groups of up to 3,500. In addition to the Exposition Center, the facility property offers an additional 67,000 square feet of functional space, high-speed Internet access and more.
