Tazewell County Resource Center Recognized at the Lincoln Awards

Inspired by the Oscar®- nominated film Lincoln, The Illinois Office of Tourism (IOT) recently held its first ever ‘Lincoln Awards’ to honor the behind the scenes stars of the Illinois tourism industry. The winners were announced at the Excellence in Tourism Dinner for the Illinois Governor’s Conference on Travel and Tourism.

Tazewell County Resource Center won the title of Best Supporting Actor for their work with the travel guide fulfillment for the IOT. They also complete fulfillment for the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau for the request of the Official Peoria Area Visitors Guide and other local attractions brochures.

“I have always felt the people and personalities that make up Illinois are our greatest asset. You simply will not find so many wonderful people anywhere else,” said Jen Hoelzle, Illinois Office of Tourism deputy director.
