The Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Appointed New Director of Catering & Conference

Mary Ann Kenmotsu, a 25-year hospitality industry veteran, will now assume the role of director of catering & conference at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center.
 
“Mary Ann brings an invaluable amount of talent to Oak Brook Hills,” said Stefan Mühle, general manager at the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center.  “Her leadership is underscored by her constant pursuit of exceeding guest expectations, the chief driver of our business.”
 
In this position, Kenmotsu will oversee event planning, menu execution, vender coordination and a team of over 200 employees. This includes coordination and management of catering sales, event managers, the banquet tea and the audio visual department.  Starting this winter, Kenmotsu will oversee the remodel of the hotel’s IACC and banquet services.
 
Kenmotsu looks ahead with vision as she begins her job.
 
“I want the Hilton Chicago / Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center to be known as the premier venue in the Midwest for social and corporate events,” Kenmotsu said.  “My team’s reputation will be based on creating personalized, unique experiences through outstanding service and exquisite food. No two events will ever be the same.” 
 
Kenmotsu has a held numerous positions before coming to the Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center including food & beverage director and director of catering and conference services at the DoubleTree Hotel & Conference Center Chicago North Shore and vice president of sales and marketing at Mitchell Hospitality Group.
 
Additionally, Kenmotsu is a CMP and CPCE, as well as an active member of NACE, CMP Conclave attendee and former IACC committee member.
