Hello readers,
Chicago’s been on a culinary roll the last few years, and now it’s easier than ever to pass on the fine dining experiences to your attendees and guests.
For the world travelers: Carnivale Food Truck
On Oct. 10, the popular Latin fusion restaurant is hitting the road with a brand-new food truck. It will operate seven days a week, year-round and has designated stops in downtown Chicago, various city neighborhoods, even the suburbs. The mobile option will also be available for private event catering, which can provide some colorful flair for your next bash. The menu will include reworked staples from Carnivale’s menu and new offerings inspired by Latin street food. Some examples include guacamole with homemade chips and pickled jalapenos; arrachera steak sandwich with green papaya slaw and chili aioli; and passion fruit cheesecake lollipops.
For wine enthusiasts: Seven Lions Catering
Wine-focused restaurant Seven Lions (a project of renowned sommelier Alpana Singh) is now offering catering options for its devout fans. Like the in-house menu, many of these foodie offerings can be apt pairings. Some of the options include the 7L cheeseburger, shrimp rolls and a variety of pizzettes. Executive Chef Patrick Russ also takes it a step further with additional sandwiches, salads, app trays, mini-dessert platters and boxed lunches. Now through Oct. 15, you can receive free delivery on orders of $400 or more.
