Your Choice, Your Vote!

By M+E Staff

Hello readers,

It’s time to rock your vote! In the Illinois Meetings + Events’ 9th
Awards, that is. We’re looking for your personal favorites in suppliers, vendors, venues and more who wowed you in 2013. Was it the teambuilding facility that recently hosted your group … or the event décor firm who added such ambiance to your meeting that you’re still receiving compliments on to this day?

Your voice matters, and in an effort to highlight and award the best of the best in our industry, we need to hear from you! You can fill out the official online ballot with your picks in the 21 categories highlighted-but hurry as voting closes at 5:00 p.m. on January 23, 2014.

After that date in January, all completed ballots will be hand-counted and finalists will be announced on our website. Then stay tuned for the return of our annual Best Of Awards party in early May 2014 where we’ll announce the winners, and our Hall of Fame inductees, and fete their accomplishments. All winners will also be featured in the spring issue of the magazine.

Before you get started, let’s refresh the rules once more: Only one ballot per e-mail address will be accepted and we ask you to vote for one business/corporation/venue/supplier in each category. Likewise, to be considered complete, ballots must include at least 10 completed categories. And remember, all ballots must be received by 5:00 p.m. on January 23.

All winners are chosen by you, our trusted readers (and not by editorial staff), so make sure to cast your vote by filling out an online ballot. Also, pass on the news to your colleagues and co-workers as well your clients, planners and members so they can have their voice heard in this exciting process, too.

If you want your company recognized, consider developing a dedicated e-mail blast and be sure to get in touch if you’d like the official branded logo for your purposes. Also, add the link to your signature and/or social media pages. Exposure is key as is word-of-mouth in driving more people, and more votes, to the ballot.

Good luck to you all-and I look forward to toasting you as oneof our Best Of’s for 2013.

Happy Planning!
