The University Center of Lake County Conference Center in Grayslake, Illinois, offers meeting spaces for small-to-large group gatherings. The conference center was built in 2005 and is designed exclusively for learning and professional business events, so event attendees don’t have the distractions that hotels or convention facilities often have. The private location is removed from the hustle and bustle, but convenient enough that attendees can access it with ease. The conference center offers the most modern amenities, state-of-the-art technology, and flexible space to accommodate virtually any business event. The University Center building received the Thomas H. Madigan award for Outstanding New Construction in 2006. The following year, the Illinois Indiana Masonry Council honored the facility with the Excellence in Masonry award.
University Center of Lake County Conference Center guests speak highly of the venue, not only regarding the versatility of the space, but also the good old-fashioned excellence in customer service—from the moment you inquire about space rental, through the end of your event. Every spring, the Mother’s Trust Foundation (MTF) hosts the Pop-Up Prom Shoppe, a three-day event where the foundation gives away free prom dresses, plus accessories such as tiaras, high heels, and all that glitters. Creating a setup of space for portable dressing rooms, staging areas for accessories, a picture wall, a layout of delicious treats, and a check-out station is a weeklong endeavor that culminates in hosting more than 1,500 students and their families. Organizers appreciate the ample space and personalized care provided by our staff. Reenie Umansky, marketing director of MTF, says, “The conference center is spacious, bright, and quiet, and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure all needs are accommodated.”
This award-winning building boasts an auditorium that seats up to 100 guests, an open space atrium heralding over 30-foot-high ceilings, a tiered lecture hall, a computer lab, an executive conference room, and a beautiful outdoor courtyard.
