• JW Marriott Launches Wellness Menu

The JW Marriott Grand Rapids is taking an active approach to New Year’s resolutions with a new Wellness Break Menu, offering activities such as yoga, kickboxing and more.

The idea was inspired by a recent study of Fortune 100 companies that found employees’ overall well-being translates to improved productivity and increased likelihood of staying with their company for more than one year. The menu, which also offers light therapy and mindfulness activities, is intended to help groups increase productivity during meetings.

The hotel is also will offer discounted rates for new booking events that are held between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2017. The discounts include $3 off per person for wellness activity enhancements; 50 percent off standard room rental rates with any catering order; and room rental for the International Ballroom can be waived with a food and beverage minimum

Through responses to bi-weekly surveys, Global Business Travel Association members have indicated that domestic busines travel is ramping up after months of struggle.  

 

Remote working has become mainstream with the continued presence of COVID-19. While many people have welcomed the new normal of working from home, others miss the separation of spaces, as many corporate offices have remained closed since March.
