• JW Marriott Minneapolis Honored By Condé Nast Magazine

The JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America, which opened in November 2015, has been honored by Condé Nast’s Traveler magazine as the Best In The World 2016 Reader’s Choice Award.

The magazine raved about the 321-room, 21-suite hotel especially its skyway access to the Mall. Additionally, Traveler praised JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America’s restaurant, Cedar + Stone, Urban Table. The magazine highlighted the heart New American dishes and the restaurant’s extensive craft brew selection.

“We are honored that in its first year, the JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America has received one of the most prestigious awards in our industry, the Condé Nast Best In The World 2016 Reader’s Choice Award,” says Lars J. Danneberg, general manager of the hotel. “We’re excited that the JW Marriott’s rich tradition of approachable luxury and refined, curated experiences has been embraced by travelers to, and residents of, Minnesota.”

Results from the Incentive Research Foundation’s (IRF) 2022 Incentive Travel Destination Preferences & Their Impact on Motivation confirmed that interest in incentive travel as a motivating sales reward is at an all-time high. 91% of 405 survey respondents described group incentive travel as extremely or very motivating compared to 80% last year. Individual incentive travel was rated even higher as a motivational award at 96% versus 84% last year. 

 

Everybody loves to talk about welcoming change. Then change happens, and whew, it’s tough. After the past few years, meetings and events professionals certainly appreciate that feeling, but they’re also feeling energized by so many new ways for attendees to gather.
