• JW Marriott Nashville Announces Summer Events Calendar

    POSTED May 1, 2019

JW Marriott has announced its summer events calendar for its Nashville location, which will include outdoor movies, goat yoga and brunch, poolside yoga, poolside events, live music, and Wellness Winesdays.

Cinema by JW is a partnership with Sony Pictures and Sony Music Nashville to present complimentary movie series on The Green at JW, the hotel's new 17,000-square-foot outdoor event lawn. Films will include "Ghostbusters," "13 Going on 30," "A League of Their Own" and, in celebration of its 20th anniversay, "Big Daddy." Doors for this event will open at 6 p.m. prior to each screening, which will begin between 8 and 8:45 p.m. depending on time of sunset. Reservations can be made for guests through the property's concierge or online.

Goat yoga & brunch will be on the first Saturday of each month, and guests and locals are invited to exercise on The Green at JW with goats, followed by a brunch at Stompin' Grounds Restaurant located on the property. In partnership with Shenanigoats, goat yoga incorporates light-hearted baby goats into yoga practices, making it the ultimate stress reliever. Each session is $40 per guest and can be purchased through the property's concierge or online. Purchase of the goat yoga session includes a $10 credit to Stompin' Grounds.

If you can't imagine making yourself leave the pool, there are plenty of activities for you this summer, too. Poolside yoga will be on the property's rooftop pool deck for $15 per guest and $20 per non-guest. Other poolside events include celebrations on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. The Cabana Club, the poolside bar and grill, will offer a seasonally-inspired menu of snacks from the "Skinny Dip" menu, cocktails and more substantial fare. Live DJ performances and seasonal themed events like a clambake and BBQ will also be available for guests' enjoyment.

To fully rejuvenate after all of the fun activities, JW Marriott will offer Wellness Winesdays, a weekly initiative offering complimentary manicures and wine with the purchase of any 50-minute spa treatment at Spa by JW. The spa features private treatment rooms, facials, massages, manicures, pedicures and Aromatherapy Associates products.

Prices can be arranged accordingly with groups on a case-by-case basis depending on the size of the group. These summer events will run from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

For more than 125 years, the historic Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been celebrating local art. Each year, it hosts an Artist-in-Residence and a Narrator-in-Residence art program. The artists stay at the hotel to work on their respective artforms and interact with guests.

Family-owned and -operated catering brand and event venue, Grateful Palate Catering & Events, recently underwent an interior renovation, which was inspired by the success of the recently launched second floor private event space at its sister property Shooters Waterfront.

Discover Puerto Rico, the island’s first-ever Destination Marketing Organization (DMO), has reported that in the past year, the island had its highest revenue and visitors numbers of all time. This is largely due to the DMO’s campaign “CoverTheProgress,” which encourages media outlets to highlight Puerto Rico’s progress and beauty, rather than the devastation.
