Lakhani Hospitality celebrated its 15th anniversary with a $10 million renovation of Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago North Shore. The family-owned company, which started in 2002 with the Holiday Inn Skokie, is now comprised of five Chicagoland hotel companies, totaling close to 1,000 guest rooms. Lakhani Hospitality also operates five gasoline service stations, three full-service Bar Louie Restaurants and nearly 35,000 square feet of meeting and function space.

"Besides renewing our license agreement for 15 years, Lakhani Hospitality wanted to bring a new, contemporary look and feel to our brides, grooms and social event planners in a highly competitive market," says Sheila Lakhani Gilani, COO of Lakhani Hospitality.

Its renovations of Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago North Shore included an overhaul of the hotel's 15,000 square feet of flexible banquet and meeting space and a complete revamp of the 250 guest rooms, lobby, indoor pool and public spaces.

"Lakhani Hospitality is excited to continue its growth and has two exciting projects in the pipeline, a 100-room Avid Hotel (an IHG property) at Chicago O'Hare Airport, and a Tru Hotel, the company’s first Hilton branded hotel property, which will develop on Chicago’s North Shore market," Lakhani says.

Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago North Shore offers 15,000 square feet of pillarless event space, customizable menus, and a banquet and conference center that can be divided into eight separate meeting spaces, which can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. This space, which includes a state-of-the-art sound system, is the largest ballroom and event space on the North Shore, Lakhani notes.

With summer weather year round, Carmel Valley Ranch is taking full advantage by cultivating a summer camp style environment that’s perfect for everything from corporate meetings to spectacular outdoor weddings.  

Nestled in the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains on California’s Central Coast, Carmel Valley Ranch occupies 500 acres. Amongst all of this, they offer nearly 10,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, as well as 30,000 square feet of outdoor space.  

 

Lovebirds looking to tie the knot can now experience the pompous features of celebrity Hollywood weddings at the Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City. 

The 7,000 square feet of event space will now include wedding add-ons. Options include exiting in a horse-drawn carriage (inspired by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle), a burger bar with the couple's initials toasted into the bun (Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook), and a massive flower wall that will prove to be the “most Instagrammable” backdrop (Kim Kardashian and Kanye West). 

 

For the first time, all five boroughs of New York City are lighting up rainbow in celebration of WorldPride's first time being hosted in the United States. Additionally, NYC & Company and LGBT MPA are partnering to offer a MICE familiarization trip for LGBTQ+ meeting and event planners.
