Portillo's Chicago-style restaurant, which recently opened its first Minnesota location in Woodbury, has announced details on its newest location on Elm Creek Blvd., in Maple Grove. Portillo's currently has 50 locations in seven states.
D'Amico Catering has introduced a food truck that complements their Bushel & Peck café. The truck will operate at various on-street locations near the Mill City Museum in Minneapolis, which houses the recently updated café.
Operating daily from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. through the end of October, the Bushel & Peck food truck offers burgers, plain or loaded fries, a brisket sandwich and a chili cheese dog. There is also a chicken, mango and avocado salad or a grain and vegetable bowl for diners seeking a light and healthy meal.
Four Kimpton Hotels in Florida are partnering with Bowers & Wilkins to give groups with the ability to enjoy the sounds of the destination. The participating hotels are: EPIC, Miami; Surfcomber Miami, South Beach; Vero Beach Hotel & Spa; and Seafire Resort & Spa, Grand Cayman.
Snapchat geofilters are now available at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa.
Geofilters allow Snapchat users to inform their followers where and when they are someplace with a fun font to represent the area. Whether in a private video or picture to a friend, or on their public story, it’s a quirky way to let people know what you’re up to. Snapchat has recently made it possible for its users to create exclusive geofilters for their events and celebrations.
Sean Keliiholokai has been hired as the executive director for Visit Dana Point. In his role, he will be responsible for growing the local tourism industry with improevments on visitor attraction and retention, lodging offerings, and meetings and groups iniatiavies.
Keliiholokai, who started his position last month, formerly was the director of sales and marketing for the Greater Ontario Convention and Visitors Bureau in California. Keliiholokai also spent time at the Hyatt Regency Orange Count, Marriott International and Disneyland Resort.
