Among the most vibrant of these properties is The Mayfair Hotel, which brings a history, authenticity and creative energy that feels distinctly DTLA. The Mayfair was first established in 1926 and was the tallest building west of the Mississippi when it opened.

Signature Drink: Mango Coco Creamsicle

INGREDIENTS:
— 1 can (13.5 oz.) Thai coconut milk
— 2 cups mango puree (can be store bought or made at home with ripe mango blended with a tablespoon of water)
— 2 oz. fresh lime juice
— 4 oz. agave syrup
— 2 cups water
— 1 tbsp. dried coconut
— 1 Fresno chile
— 10 oz. tequila or mescal, if desired
— dash of salt
— Tajin seasoning and mango slices for garnish

Meeting Munchies: A Croissant and Churro Walk Into a Patisserie

To the annals of great bakery hybrids like the cronut, duffin and cretzel, add the churro croissant from Los Angeles bakery Pitchoun! A flaky pastry dusted with cinnamon sugar and filled with vanilla custard cream it combines French sophistication with the childlike joys of theme park eats. Originally put on the menu for the month of November, the churro croissant has been extended through January and, perhaps, beyond.

A Sweet Welcome for LeBron James from the InterContinental Los Angeles

When the culinary team at the InterContinental Los Angeles Century City learned that LeBron James was a fan of Fruity Pebbles cereal, they knew they had the ingredients for a unique way to welcome the basketball great to Los Angeles and the LA Lakers. Bar Manager Scott Allen created a Fruity Pebble Martini, available at Copper Lounge, while pastry chef Gail Romulo whipped up Fruity Pebbles Layer Cake (available with 48-hour notice at the signature restaurant Mari).
