Visit Bucks County hosted its annual Tourism Day Celebration on May 3, 2016. This year, the celebration was held from 4-7 p.m. at Washington Crossing Historic Park. Visit Bucks County kicked off the event by recognizing five inspiring tourism and hospitality professionals in its annual Travel and Tourism Week Awards. VBC also announced 31 spring tourism grant recipients, with over $200,000 allocated for various marketing programs, exhibits and initiatives.

New Venue Spotlight: Historic Saint Andrew’s Hall Unveils Renovation

The venue that launched Eminem is back, and it’s cleaned up its act.

Saint Andrew’s Hall, which has hosted the likes of Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Adele at shows when the megastars’ fans could fit in a smallish room, has unveiled its new Society Room, an upscale upstairs lounge space meant to attract event planners as well as concert bookers, and renovated its basement Shelter and main-floor hall.

While you can always view the city of Chicago from one of the tallest buildings in the world, the Willis Tower, there’s a new way to see the vast landscape—from a helicopter hovering 100 stories high. Chicago Helicopter Experience is the latest option for meeting and event professionals to take their event to a whole new level. Guests can enjoy dinner, cocktails and entertainment before taking flight on a unique day or night tour that also provides a little history. 

Signature Drink: S’mores Martini

INGREDIENTS
—1 oz. marshmallow vodka
—1 oz. Richardo’s Decaf Coffee Liqueur
—1 oz. cream
—chocolate syrup
—graham cracker crumbs
—toasted marshmallows

DIRECTIONS
Dip the rim of a martini glass in a shallow dish of chocolate syrup and then in a dish of fine graham cracker crumbs. Combine marshmallow vodka, Richardo’s Decaf Coffee Liqueur and cream in a martini shaker with ice. Pour into glass and garnish with toasted marshmallows.
