Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif., has announced the completion of its 65-suite makeover. The Pechanga Tribe’s $285 million resort expansion is slated for completion in December 2017.
The Robey, a 1929 art deco building located on the corner of Damen Avenue and North Avenue, is set for a makeover. The Robey is hard to miss, the 69-room hotel has a café, second-floor lounge, guest-only rooftop lounge, and in 2017, a rooftop pool. Grupo Habita will headline the project, with the hopes of modernizing the hotel without losing its character.
Its prism-like shape makes The Robey a unique building on the Wicker Park and Bucktown border. Built out of glass, wood, concrete and chrome, it earned the nickname Coyote Building due to its likening of a howling animal.
