• Market House by D'Amico Opens its Tasty Doors

The recently renovated Market House by D’Amico in the Minnesota History Center, just opened its doors on Sept. 20. Located near the entrance of the museum, the café features an updated design and a menu that focuses on fresh, local and healthy foods.

“Market House by D’Amico pays tribute to our Minnesota and community roots by offering fresh, authentic and healthy cuisine sourced from our favorite local and organic purveyors,” says Larry D’Amico, co-owner of D’Amico & Partners. “The Market House experience connects Minnesota History Center visitors to Minnesota’s past and present agricultural movement with a menu inspired by the local farmers market, as well as the grainery, butcher and bakery. We are proud to partner with the Minnesota Historical Society to help build the Minnesota History Center as a premier Twin Cities attraction and event venue.”

D’Amico Catering took over the former Café Minnesota in February with plans to offer a new menu and conduct a space renovation. The Market House by D’Amico will have a menu filled with seasonal salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, burgers, soups, and desserts. They will also coordinate some items with the museums featured exhibits.

Situated close to the museum’s stores, no entry fee is required to visit the café. So whether you’re visiting the museum, working nearby,or just looking for a great place to eat, you can easily stop in and dine.

“The D’Amico name is widely recognized in the Twin Cities, and it’s synonymous with great food, exceptional style and impeccable service,” says Dennis Meissner, interim deputy director, programs and head of collections management. “The name will help to attract more attention to the café, the attractive menu will draw guests in, and the excellent food and service will keep them coming back. We are excited to offer this wonderful amenity for our guests to enhance their overall Minnesota History Center experience.”

It won’t be quite the same as ordering a pizza or nachos to be delivered to your front door but getting eats at venues is taking a leap toward convenience with a new collaboration: DoorDash has become ASM Global’s “On-Demand Delivery Platform” partner, launching at ASM Global’s top North American arenas, stadiums, theaters, and convention centers in the coming months. The partnership will allow attendees to skip traditional lines by leveraging DoorDash services to order within the arena for pickup.

 

Located on the River Walk, the Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk has completed its $38 million renovation just in time for its 40thanniversary. The renovation broke ground in December 2021. The hotel’s 602 guestrooms and 28 suites were redesigned to reflect an upscale urban experience.
