The creative, fun, colorful nature of children inspired these meeting sessions. Ideate sessions are approved by kids, and made for those who are kids at heart. Researchers have found that bright, fun spaces encourage increased creativity and productivity.

Seattle-based Columbia Hospitality has acquired the management of The Heathman Hotel. Located in Kirkland, Wash., the independent hotel and Trellis Restaurant join Columbia Hospitality’s growing portfolio of award-winning properties.

Corcoran Expositions Announces the Management of New Trade Show and Renewal of Existing Client

Corcoran Expositions, a large independent trade show organizer, will manage a new trade show for the American Dental Hygienists Association; they also have renewed the National Brownfields Training Conference.

Corcoran Expositions will arrange exhibit sales and management services for the American Dental Hygienists Association’s CLL 2017 94th Annual Session, which will be held in Jacksonville, Fla. In 2018, the show will be held in Columbus, Ohio.

Partnership Acquires Manhattan Hotel

In a joint venture, Patriarch Equities, Highgate and Sioni Group have acquired the 618-room Affinia Manhattan hotel. Highgate will assume management duties of the hotel, which will be rebranded as the Stewart Hotel.

Pechanga Resort & Casino Completes Suite Makeover

Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif., has announced the completion of its 65-suite makeover. The AAA Four Diamond resort renovated 63 one-bedroom suites and two executive suites as part of a reinvestment into the property. The Pechanga Tribe’s $285 million resort expansion is slated for completion in December 2017.

MGM National Harbor Opens its Doors

MGM National Harbor, the first luxury resort in the Capital Region of Maryland, is officially open for business.
