The Fields, the Midwest's first luxury glamping experience, will be opening in South Haven on June 15, with reservations available seven days a week through the last weekend of October. The 30-acre property is located 3.5 miles from the beaches of Lake Michigan and will hasve 10 rooms that can each accommodate two adults.

The rooms, which include wood-burning stoves, king beds, luxury linens, en-suite bathrooms, bathroom amenities and stylized fixtures and seatings, will provide guests an experience that combines five-star resort luxuries and the comfort of the great outdoors. Two common areas, The Willow and Pine Point, will also be available for guests. The Willow is an indoor space, which will offer guests meals, snacks and daily activities. Pine Point will include a fire pit and Adirondack chairs, perfect for enjoying the woodsy backdrop.

For groups and events, The Fields will have a private event space, The Barn. The 1,500-square-foot space will seat up to 100 guests for weddings, events and dinners. The Barn will be available for reservations June 15 through November 1.

To keep guests entertained, The Fields will have several on-site activites including hiking, a U-pick blueberry farm, group yoga, fishing, gardening and culinary experiences including grilling and s'mores kits. Seasonal pies will also be served daily at The Willow common area.

As a South Haven native, The Fields owner Irene Wood says she grew up in between the town and the country--two blocks from the candy store and movie theater and with a backyard full of cows, pigs, corn and soybeans. The combination of luxury in town and nature on the farm is what inspired her to open The Fields.

"It was the best of both worlds--that seamless duality is what we will deliver to each person that visits The Fields," Wood says. "We want to transport our guests back to their own moments of childlike wonder, connect them with South Haven's beautiful surroundings and allow them to reconnect with themselves, their friends and their family."
