Boyne Resorts, a family-owned company based in Petoskey that operates three resorts in the state, launched an independent public charity in late January, the Boyne Forever Foundation. Through the foundation, the company aims to invest in the communities in which its resorts are located, support the people who work at its resorts, protect the surrounding environments, and beyond.

The Boyne Forever Foundation will support funding requests for environmental initiatives, community projects, and scholarships through a grant program, with its first cycle opening this spring.

According to the foundation’s Executive Director Michelle Wein, hosting a meeting or event at Boyne Resorts creates a positive ripple effect in the communities where it operates—and with the launch of the Boyne Forever Foundation comes the opportunity for planners to be even more intentional about that impact.

“One of the core reasons we started the Boyne Forever Foundation was a deep desire to make a meaningful difference in our mountain communities year-round—not just during peak season, but consistently and sustainably over time,” Wein says. “Meetings and events are a natural and exciting extension of that vision, giving companies a way to connect their gatherings to something bigger while contributing to the places they’re visiting.”

Whether a group is focused on environmental stewardship, community investment, or team member well-being, the Boyne Forever Foundation serves as a framework that can transform a great meeting or event into a meaningful experience. “It’s an opportunity to connect your attendees to something larger than the agenda—and to leave a lasting positive impact on the places and people that make these mountain communities so special,” Wein says.

Boyne Resorts’ Michigan properties include Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls, The Highlands at Harbor Springs, and the Inn at Bay Harbor.
