Northern Lower Michigan’s Hotel Walloon has received a 2022 AAA Four Diamond Award.
The designation is awarded to hotels across North America that pass a rigorous inspection process during in-person, unscheduled visits.
The luxury boutique hotel in Walloon Lake features 32 guest rooms and is situated lakefront with its own beach and a 2,000-square-foot patio. Open year-round, it also offers a variety of meeting areas including a board meeting room for up to 12; The Talcott, located nearby with 3,000 square feet of customizable space housed in a renovated boat show room that can accommodate up to 200 guests; the Barrel Back Restaurant offering waterfront dining and a food truck for off-site events; the nearby Walloon Lake Inn, providing lakeside meals, a 1,000-square-foot patio, and a new board room called The Varnish Room with capacity for up to 14 for private dining; and Village Green Park with 4,000 square feet of outdoor space.

Features include complimentary valet service, a private bar exclusive to hotel guests, and complimentary food offerings daily that include a light breakfast, midday snacks, and hors d’oeuvres and dessert in the evening. Other amenities include a billiards room, 24-hour fitness facility, and outdoor heated whirlpool spa.
Hotel Walloon received an AAA Best of Activities and Recreation honor for 2022 as well.
