Downtown Minneapolis’ Marin Restaurant & Bar—known for its upscale healthy plates from chef Mike Rakun—rolled out its Cheat Day Brunch menu in March, featuring decadent dishes and innovative drinks (because: weekend). The Morning ‘Rita is just one of the choice cocktails to complete your meal. The smokiness of the mezcal adds depth to the drink, differentiating it from your standard margarita, and the Sriracha salt rim adds a little heat that counters the sweet agave syrup.

Market House by D'Amico Opens its Tasty Doors

The recently renovated Market House by D’Amico in the Minnesota History Center, just opened its doors on Sept. 20. Located near the entrance of the museum, the café features an updated design and a menu that focuses on fresh, local and healthy foods.

Three hundred meeting and event professionals gathered at Aria on March 31 for MNM+E’s 14th annual Best of Minnesota awards. Guests walked the red carpet (sponsored by Canterbury Park Catering & Events), posed at the Snapz Photo Booth and sipped bubbly from an aerial bartender (sponsored by Roseville Visitors Association). Saltee filled the main room with live music.

Make Plans to Tour Prince's Home This Fall

Those looking for a glimpse into Prince’s private world are in luck—his family and special administrator for his estate are opening up the doors to his Chanhassen home Paisley Park for public tours on Oct. 6, 2016.

Millions of fans will be able to tour the 65,000-square-foot home, which will include a look into the Minnesota legend’s recording studio, rehearsal rooms, video editing suites, private NPG Music Club and concert hall where he rehearsed for tours and concert events.

HRI Properties Obtains Minneapolis Hotel

HRI Properties, LLC has acquired DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Minneapolis. Located at 1101 LaSalle Ave., the hotel is six blocks from HRI’s owned and managed Embassy Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Downtown that will open this September HRI Lodging, LLC, a subsidiary of HRI, will manage the new property.

John Scott Bradstreet's Legacy continues at Bradstreet Neighborhood Craftshouse

John Scott Bradstreet, from whom Bradstreet Neighborhood Craftshouse gets its namesake, was a local tastemaker in the Twin Cities area in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was an architect and interior designer, travelled widely in Europe and Asia, and was friends with Oscar Wilde and Louis Comfort Tiffany. His influence makes its way in to the cocktails of the Bradstreet Neighborhood Craftshouse today.
