• Minnesota’s First Portillo’s to Open in Early July

The fast-casual Chicago-style food concept, Portillo’s, will be opening its first Minnesota location at 8450 Hudson Rd. in Woodbury at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11. The new location marks the brand’s 50th restaurant opening.

The restaurant will feature a 1920s theme with décor inspired by the Prohibition era. The restaurant will include seating for more than 200 guests, with double drive-thru lanes and an outdoor patio.

The menu will feature Portillo’s classic favorites, including Chicago-style Hot Dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, char-grilled burgers, fresh salads and Portillo’s famous Chocolate Cake.

The new concept restaurant designed by Howe & Brown Hospitality has maritime inspired food and craft cocktails that will prove to be a delight for travelers and locals. Using locally-sourced ingredients, the cuisine emphasizes technique and texture to highlight the exuberance of in-season seafood. 

 

Known as “The World’s Most Famous Building,” the Empire State Building, which welcomes more than 4 million visitors per year, has been going through some changes. One of those changes is the preparation of NYC: Above and Beyond, an interactive exhibit dedicated to global tourists in New York City. Set to be located on the 80th floor of the famous building, the exhibit will offer personalized travel recommendations to visitors.

 

Despite being open for only 15 months, Somni is awarded two Michelin stars. Led by Chef Aitor Zabala with Chef José Andrés, the SLS Beverly Hills restaurant celebrates the honor as well as the Michelin Guide’s return to Los Angeles after a decade.
