Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) is ranked No. 1 in the country for mega airports in terms of customer satisfaction in the 2022 North American Airport Satisfaction Survey by research firm J.D. Power. Mega airports see more than 33 million passengers annually.
The study, conducted between August 2021 and July 2022, gauged traveler satisfaction in terminal facilities; airport arrival/departure; baggage claim; security checkpoints; check-in/baggage check; and food, beverage, and retail. More than 26,000 recent travelers completed the survey.
The other mega airports in the top five include San Francisco International Airport, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, and Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Others ranked No. 1 for their size include Tampa International Airport among large airports and Indianapolis International Airport among medium-sized airports.
MSP moved up two spots from its third-place ranking in 2021.
