Destinations International awarded Bloomington Minnesota Travel & Tourism with the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) designation. Bloomington Minnesota Travel & Tourism is the official destination marketing organization for the city. This is a reaccreditation for the organization, which was first awarded the DMAP designation in 2013.

The accreditation program requires a destination organization to successfully comply with several standards for performance. The standards cover nearly all aspects related to the management and marketing of destination organizations, including governance, finance, human resources, sales, communications, destination development, and research.

“Our DMAP reaccreditation comes in the midst of a very exciting time for our organization,” says Bonnie Carlson, president and CEO. “The designation signifies our commitment to excellence in the tourism industry and reaffirms our mission of inspiring travel to Bloomington.”
