Pancakes dripping in syrup fruit-topped Belgian waffles, the aroma of jalapeño bacon and the sweet bubbles of a mimosa—what’s not to love about brunch? With a fun and flexible menu featuring well-loved sweet and savory dishes, brunch is a guaranteed guest-pleaser. Whether you’re looking for a casual neighborhood restaurant or an exclusive country club, take a look at three Texas eateries ready to bring the festive comfort of Sunday brunch to your next event.

Le Peep

Le Peep welcomes your guests to a classic neighborhood restaurant, says Jim White, marketing manager for Le Peep in Texas. “(We have a) newspaper laid out for you, ready to read,” White says. “There’s music in the background and a great energy and flow to the environment.” Although Le Peep is a national chain, each location is locally owned and operated. Of the five Le Peep locations in northern Texas, three offer private meeting space: Plano, Frisco and Denton. Plano offers space for 46 guests, Frisco has space for 30 and Denton offers space for 50 guests. There’s no charge to reserve a room as long as food is purchased, and each space can be closed off from the rest of the restaurant.

Those who need to add audio-visual elements to the event will be happy to find outlets and room for projectors.

Le Peep features more than 90 signature dishes, from custom-made breakfast items to buffet-style dinners. To wow your guests, White recommends eggs Benedict served the “Le Peep Way” (poached, smoked, seared and smothered in a creamy hollandaise sauce), as well as the restaurant’s chicken fried steak and eggs, served in a creamy sausage gravy. White also recommends Le Peep’s made-to-order omelettes (guests can substitute egg whites for a lighter option). Pair savory dishes with fresh, seasonal fruit and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Le Peep also offers a selection of savory crepes, sandwiches and salads, as well as gluten-free options.

Stonebriar Country Club

The many amenities of the Stonebriar Country Club—including its two championship 18-hole golf courses, swimming pool, lighted outdoor tennis courts and 6,500-square-foot clubhouse—are available only to members. Membership at Stonebriar is by invitation only at the request of an existing member.

However, nonmembers can take advantage of the club’s exclusive atmosphere and service by booking meeting space in one of Stonebriar’s several event rooms.

“The staff is friendly and extremely accommodating, making each guest feel as if they are part of the country club,” says Kristine Peterson, private events director at Stonebriar Country Club.

The Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco opened in 1988 but underwent a renovation in 2013. The club’s event rooms range in capacity from five to 250 people.

The Myers Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 250 people, provides plenty of space while not leaving guests feeling “overwhelmed in a large ballroom,” Peterson says.

The Clarendon Room, which can accommodate up to 100 people, features large bay windows overlooking the finishing holes of the club’s golf course. For a smaller group, check out the Briar Room, which can accommodate up to 30 people and overlooks the golf course. For an outdoor brunch, schedule an event on the club’s terrace, where your guests can sit just steps away from the green.

Peterson recommends adding chef-attended omelette and waffle stations to your event for a fresh and personalized touch. Although the club offers preset menus to assist with offering selections, Stonebriar can create custom menus to accommodate the particular needs of any group.

Bread Winners Café & Bakery

Those looking for brunch fare with a little heat need to check out Bread Winners Café & Bakery, which just celebrated its 20th anniversary of serving the Dallas area.

Bread Winners’ four Dallas locations (Plano, NorthPark Center, Inwood and Uptown) offer spaces that can be used by small groups.

A popular dish is the restaurant’s fried chicken and waffles: jalapeño bacon cheddar waffles topped with crispy chicken, cream gravy, Henry’s Hot Sauce and maple syrup.

The restaurant blends upscale dining with a casual, friendly atmosphere and balances spicy dishes with its sweet bakery offerings.

Walk into one of the four restaurants and you’ll be greeted with the aroma of freshly baked breads, pastries and desserts, including 100 types of cakes, cookies, pies and brownies.

Bread Winners also offers a full menu of brunch cocktails, from your traditional mimosa and frozen Bellini to Brunch Punch, a split of champagne, St. Germain and cranberry. Or try a Mango Fizz, a split of prosecco and fresh mango puree.

The restaurant’s eggs Benedict is popular with patrons, including the Southern Eggs Benedict with pulled pork, frizzled onion and Tabasco hollandaise on a buttermilk biscuit. The Texas Benedict features beef brisket hash and Tabasco hollandaise on an English muffin; the French Ham Benedict includes asparagus and smoked ham on a croissant.

Megan Morrissey, special events coordina- tor for Bread Winners Café, recommends the Croque Madame (grilled Tuscan bread with ham, Swiss cheese, jalapeño cream gravy and a sunny side up egg with brunch potatoes) or the raspberry chipotle chicken sandwich (chicken breast bacon, jack, mayonnaise and raspberry chipotle sauce on grilled ciabatta).

For those with an extreme sweet tooth, check out the Bananas Foster Waffle, made with crispy waffles smothered in a warm banana caramel sauce, topped with fresh bananas and homemade whipped cream.

The Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre completed its $24 million renovation of the entire hotel and conference center. Renovations began in 2020. 

The North Dallas conference center hotel renovation includes a full redesign of all 503 guest rooms, lobby and public areas, and food and beverage outlets. Additionally, the hotel’s 55,000-square-feet of meeting space was updated with new furnishings, technology upgrades, and the addition of a new 6,600-square-foot Lakeside Ballroom. 


Sheraton Dallas Hotel has introduced a new outdoor event space under its new event programming, Dare to Outdoors. The hotel’s catering team has partnered with Pacific Plaza Park, a 3.7-acre green space in Downtown Dallas. The park features a 31,950 square-foot lawn space and permanent seating, as well as night-sky friendly lights for star-watchers. Three food truck power outlets are available and standard outlets are located throughout the park.
