Built in 1909, the Montvale Event Center, located in Spokane, Washington, was formerly the home of an Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge. Over the years, it has also served as commercial space—housing both the Herring-Hall-Marvin Safe Company and the Riley Candy Company at different times— and dance halls, first the Metronome Dance Hall from 1950 to 1953 and then the Hi-Spot Dance Hall from 1954 to 1956.

Today, it offers three distinct spaces. On the first floor is the 3,500-square-foot Montvale Hall, with exposed brick walls, chandeliers, large framed mirrors and a commissary kitchen. It can accommodate as many as 240 guests. The second floor features the 5,878-squarefoot Ella’s Theater, with stained glass windows and mahogany wood accents throughout. Down the hall are a private bar and lounge area for smaller gatherings of as many as 50. On the third floor is Ella’s Supper Club (which can accommodate as many as 90). It offers a more intimate setting for smaller receptions, meetings or private dinners. The center provides tables, chairs, a choice of linens, built-in bars on each floor and discounted rates at area hotels.
