Jackson’s Mountain Modern Expands with Acquisition

By M+E Staff

Mountain Modern opened in 2017 and is doubling its footprint to cover a full city block in downtown Jackson, Wyoming, with the acquisition and renovation of Jackson Hole Lodge. With renovations slated for completion by December, the expansion adds 59 guest rooms and suites, an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, a new culinary concept, and a social hub and meeting space known as The Triple M.

The Look

Mountain Modern’s functional, yet contemporary destination-inspired design is woven throughout the new guest rooms, bringing the total room count to 194. New accommodations include king rooms; studios with a full kitchen; double queen and king suites; and two-bedroom, two-story residential-style suites that sleep up to eight people and feature a kitchen, living room with a fireplace, and a private outdoor balcony.

Large wall coverings celebrate the Grand Teton’s backcountry, local wildlife, and fly-fishing while pops of red buffalo plaid give rooms a playful color scheme. Gear walls provide storage for hiking boots, skis, snowboards, and more.

Gathering Space

Communal seating, co-working spaces, and firepits transform The Triple M from day to night, as it opens to an outdoor area for enjoying lawn games and live music and relaxing in a lounge area. Inside, there is a new culinary concept featuring après ski fare, seasonal cocktail offerings, and casual bites along with a marketplace offering local grab-and-go items and refreshments.

An area in the back of The Triple M can be sectioned off as a private event space for about 50 people. The outdoor space can host around 25, a number that will grow as the property expands food and beverage offerings over the next year.
