By M+E Staff

Denver’s the Curtis – a DoubleTree by Hilton, the city’s only pop culture hotel, just announced the launch of a $5 million property renovation that will include upgrades to all of the guest rooms and an expanded lobby.

The Curtis holds 336 guest rooms on 13 themed floors and each will undergo remodeling that will include new furniture, artwork, linens, carpeting, and drapery, among other things. The hotel will also add two additional one-bedroom guest suites – the KISS Suite and the Spice Girls Suite. Both will be 800 square feet and include a separate master bedroom and living room.

“We can’t wait to share all of these exciting upgrades with our loyal guests,” said JoAnn Elston, the “Leading Lady,” or general manager of the hotel.  “The guest room renovation is really designed to let the hotel’s unique, funky personality shine through even brighter.”

The lobby will be updated with a new coffee station, business center and new furniture. The remodel is set to be completed by Spring 2014.
