Meeting Professionals International has announced speaker and author, Scott Friedman, CSP as a winner of the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) 2013 Recognizing Industry Success and Excellence (RISE) Award.
Meeting Professionals International (MPI) is the largest global meeting and event industry association. The organization helps its member thrive by building human connections through knowledge and ideas, relationships, and marketplaces.
“This award honors those rare individuals who by visionary hard work and creative insight have positively changed the global meetings and events industry community (MPI).” Scott’s passion for the industry, global connectivity and philanthropy is evident through his innovative contributions and achievements.
Based in Golden, Colo., Friedman is a certified speaking professional and former President of the National Speakers Association. He has led several initiatives to bring the Global Speaking Summit and Meetings Industry Council of Colorado, and co-founding the International Association of Speakers Bureaus and National Speakers Association Council.
His mission is to bring about positive change through collaboration with community connectors. Friedman is also the founder of “Together We Can Chance The World,” an organization which brings speakers together with communities in Southeast Asia to fund raise, promote education, and build sustainability in orphanages.
