Stephen Ascuaga is the new, state-wide corporate director of business development at The Peppermill Casinos, Inc.
The position, created specifically for Ascuaga, entails creating new partnerships with the state’s growing corporations or businesses looking to relocate locally. He will work closely with Billy Paganetti, Peppermill’s general manager, and other department directors. Ascuaga will also lead corporate and community relations and work on regional economic development issues, such as air service.
“Stephen has such a deep knowledge in all aspects of management and operations in the casino, hotel special events and hospitality industry,” said Paganetti. “When you see the talent out there like Stephen that you can add to your team, you add it wheather you have a position open or not.”
Previously, Ascuaga served as chief operating officer at John Ascuaga’s Nugget – a hotel and casino in Sparks.
He will work from Peppermill’s Reno resort hotel, but will also travel and work from Peppermill’s Las Vegas and Wendover locations.
